Oakura pizzeria named AVPZ member number 751

Black Sand Pizzeria and Bistro at Oakura has been accredited as a member of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana​, which sets out rules and criteria about how to make a traditional handmade Neapolitan pizza.

The beachside town of Oakura in Taranaki is one of just three places in New Zealand serving real Neapolitan pizza like the Italians eat.

There are only 750 other pizzerias in the world that are recognised by the AVPN group for traditional style marinara, and margherita​ pizza.
